Letter From Steve

Steve and Jen Welcome to our website and our ministry! At Hands of Hope Ministries, we strive to reach out to individuals who live with mental illness by meeting their relational, physical, emotional, and spiritual needs through various avenues.. We recognize that this group of people is greatly misunderstood, greatly stigmatized, and greatly feared. Consequently, this is a group of people that are largely un-reached for Christ.

Our ministry began almost 6 years ago when God called us back to Cincinnati from a church that we were pastoring at the time. We assumed God was calling us back to start a church but over the last few years God has redirected the path of our hearts a great deal. We ache to see this group of people have a powerful representation of Christ in their lives. In the mental health field a powerful representation of Christ is not often found.

Currently, I work for a community mental health agency as a supervisor of a transitional home for individuals who live with mental illness. This has and continues to provide us great opportunities to meet the needs of the mentally ill. I personally have also been able to share my faith in Christ to several people in my company and profession as a result of our ministry. People come to me to ask what causes us to want to do all of these things for the mentally ill with nothing in return and it leads into effective minsitry opportunities.

At Hands of Hope Ministries we believe that our God is a God of great grace and that He wants this grace to be extended to the mentally ill. We are excited about what God has already done through our ministry and we are even more excited about what God is going to do in the future. Thank you for visiting this website and finding our more about our ministry. I ask that you pray for the mentally ill in your area and to look for ways to serve them. If we can be of any help to you please feel free to contact us. Many blessings on you!
